The Improvised Horn for the Home Constructor.
The Improvised Corner Horn, whilst it can be purchased complete, and was originally designed for the home constructor a free blueprint being supplied with each unit or 2/6 post free by itself.
It is constructed of various thicknesses of plywood with a concrete reflector at the bottom.
This horn, like the reflector type, is to stand in a corner of the room with the unit standing on the floor facing into the horn towards the actual corner of the room.
The results from this type of horn have the 'life' and 'naturalness' of the large type, but no attempt has been made to deal with the lower end of the musical scale though it is by no means absent.
The directional effect is more noticeable but not as serious as the average baffle type of speaker.
This Improvised Horn may be built into a corner cupboard leaving just the opening for the mouth of the horn in the room with excellent results.
Blue Print: 2/ 6
Built Horns: £2 15 0, Ex Works.
Could be fitted with the Voigt Twin Diaphragm Driver Unit at extra cost.
