• Es handelt sich bei dem GIR-1 um ein transistorisiertes Dip-Meter.
  Das Gerät hat handliche Quaderform und verfügt über 7 Steckspulen, die im Werk kalibriert wurden. Ein zusätzlicher, achter Spulenkörper wurde mitgeliefert. Steckbuchsen für NF-Ausgang, HF-Aus- und -Eingang und Masse.
  Frequenzbereich: 0,4···40 MHz; aktiver und passiver Modus. Im aktiven Modus kann ein NF-Generator mit ca. 300 Hz zur Modulation benutzt werden.
  Neben den 5 Transistoren ist eine Diode als Demodulator eingebaut.
