  • The eighth tube is probably a 6J5 or 6F5 as an inverter in the push_pull audio output circuit.  The radio owned by rebrands (anitqueradios.com, 21JAN2013) had a 6V6 in this position but it was a metal tube and probably not correct since the other 6V6's were G style glass. 

    The chassis picture shows a three gang tuning capacitor so 7 tuned AM circuits are assumed to be present.  However, the radio does not have an RF stage ahead of the converter circuit.
