The description in the "Museo del Telegrafo" in the city of Mexico, where this model is being exposed, reads:
"Aparato que sirve para medir la intensidad de tensión y resistencia de líneas telegráphicas, aunque estas se enquentran a grandes distancias del lugar de prueba. Utilizado a partir de la década de 1930."Note: It is not quite clear whether in this text the word "tensión" means "electrical voltage".
