  • Notes
  • This tape recorder was built from 1952 by the Broadcast Equipment Specialities Corp. and uses a spring-wound Thorens drive. The wind-up crank also served as carrying handle. The tape is driven by a rotating rubber wheel by direct contact to the tape surface on the take-up reel - a quite singular construction that had its disadvantages. Tape speed is 7 1/2 inch per second.
