Developed during WWI as a Trench receiver. The prototype was reviewed in the Scientific American magazine (Oct. 11, 1919, p.368.) Production started in 1921.
Radio transmitter, type BC—9A (continuous wave loop radiotelegraph transmitter and receiver and a single turn loop used with the SCR-77A set)
Covers the 4100-4400KC band. Has built-in key that flops down when the set is opened up.
