The Zenith 440 uses two 12-inch Jensen D9 electrodynamic moving coil speakers, part numbers 49-50J and 49-51J. One speaker is tuned for resonance at 70Hz, the other at 90Hz.  Some radios have been found with the speakers flat-mounted side by side, others have been found with the speakers mounted at a 90 degree angle to each other.  Both arrangements are original from the factory.
