  • Der Alibiphonomat konnte dank des eingebauten Tonbandgerätes Nachrichten aufzeichnen; die Aufnahmekapazität betrug 90 Minuten.

    Die Nutzung eines Anrufbeantworters war in den 1960er Jahren genehmigungspflichtig und der Anschluss an das Telefonnetz erfolgte durch die Deutsche Bundespost - sogar für den aufzusprechenden Melde- und Schlusstext gab es amtliche Vorgaben.
