Hi everyone! my radio has an EBF80 instead of the ECC83 (the one before the EL84), does it make sense? I just downloaded the schematics so I will try to figure out if the radio has been rewired for that. it works perfectly, but according to schematics it's the wrong tube(?). beside that, mine has different RF coils than the ones in the picture, they are much smaller, rechtangular with the two adjustments on top. I hope I can upload some pics tomorrow.

Different Chassis
It's a different style chassis. So not really the same model, hence a different valve/tube.
The round IFT cans are the "Original" style (even similar in 1930s) and need to be large so the two tuned circuits (anode of one valve/tube and grid of the next, or detector) are not too close. The small rectangular kind is commonly used by Philips from Mid 1950s (also some Kolster Brandes Portables) and uses an internal aluminum partition with a slot to obtain the correct coupling with the coils in a small space.
It's likey your version used an EBF80 instead of the ECC83 by design. We will need to create a 2nd variant model page.
Transistor sets use a completely different kind of IFT construction, usually with only one tuned circuit and less turns for base, but some early transistor models are double tuned too.

Different chassis
Well, they carry the same model name, "verdi", but close inspection of both Mr. Karol's pictures, and mine, shoes those variations: first are the RF coils, second: the different tubes. looking at the bottom view pictures, next to the "piano keys", on Mr. Karol's set, a resistor is connected from the "hot side" of the P.U. input to one of the ECC83 grids. on mine, however, there is an additional terminal strip in parallel with the EBF80 and the EL84 with additional circuicity. indeed, there is more than one variation on the Verdi model. beside that, the ECC83 variant uses only half of the tube (one of the two triodes, the second is grounded), the EBF80 variant uses only the pentode, and the two signal diods are grounded.

Create new Model
Use the "Create new model" link on the Home page.
Put the same information as existing but the different valve list.
in Variant "box" (field) put Rect. IFT.
When or if it's approved I will move your photos to the new model page.
