Dan,
thank you for this information. Please let me know the picture-IDs which are wrong here. Do you also know the correct model no. for this so they can be moved accordingly?

atwater: Correction
Hello Bernhard,
Photos with ID numbers 2380597,2380598 and 1441043 are incorrect. Atwater Kent never manufactured radios with the combination of components shown in these photos, they are all "home brew" sets built by amatuer radio enthusiasts.

Model Atwater Kent 4325 8 Duplex
Dear Bernhard
by the picture number 2380597 (2380598 and 1441043 might be there too), I was able to find the model (I hope).
It is 4325 Model 8 Duplex
We should never delete pictures out of a collection but bring in an explaining text within the caption.
I see now that the first two are of "this sort", but 1441043 (brought by Alan Larsen) is a code 2-picture which means "not from my collection" and can be deleted.
Cordially,
Ernest

Model Atwater Kent 4325 8 Duplex
Dear Ernst,
I agree that photos from a members personal collection web page should not be deleted, however, I believe incorrect photos should be removed from web pages of individual models to avoid confusion and keep with the goal of this website to provide correct information.
Best regards,
Dan

Model Atwater Kent 4325 8 Duplex
Dear Dan
You are absolutely right ... Unfortunately we sit on an old "program monster" which is very big and complicated due to so many things we can do here.
The picture is either visible in a collection AND (then) also on the model page (the upload page). That's the reason we can only sort it "down" if there are many pictures and in any case, write something into the caption. I hope this will be done by our colleagues.
Good to know: We invested about 16'000 "man-hours" into this ColdFusion program complex ... done by professionals. Sometimes I thought I'm a fool, having given away so much money ... For some years I stopped any payment because RMorg can now live with that big membership number (with only ONE entry fee) and ads. It is a few thousand members who are really active (out of about 20'000).

Model Atwater Kent 4325 8 Duplex
Dear Dan, Ernst,
pictures has been sorted, the new and authentic ones from Dan are now on top. A comment has been added to the homebrew versions of the set.
Dan, it would be a great addition to add the type plates of the three parts tuner, condenser and the TA unit.
Thanks,
Bernhard

Model Atwater Kent 4325 8 Duplex
Dear Ernst,Bernhard,
I've been trying to get information on the background of my AK8. I haven't been able to get a firm confirmation yet, but what I have found out leaves me to believe the following. The radio is from the collection of Mike Kreuser, a collector in the USA. He owned it for forty years or more. It's not a factory AK8, although the components are original Atwater Kent. The radio does meet all the specifications of a model 4325. That's all I have for now, I'm still making inquiries and waiting on some responses for sources that might have the information I am seeking.
Best regards,
Dan
