EM71

Hello Ernest, or JR, or any member who can provide some definitive guidance for the proper "test settings" for my Hickok 752A to test the Lorenz EM71 that I received today.

I do have the respective Funke W19 test card, dated 7.57 (page 646) . . . .my main concerns are the control electrode designation; and the bias and shunt settings.

Ich habe mir einmal das HICHOK 752A bei "Jogi" angesehen. Soweit ich sehen kann,

ist der Unterschied zu den Typen TV7..../U nicht sehr gross oder sie sind identisch.

Das TB 11- 6625-274-12/1 c3 vom Jan. 1963   zu den TV7, hat einen Anhang "EUROPIAN TUBE TYPE"  Dort gibt es Angaben zur EM71/72 .

Fuer die TV7..../U  lautet das:

Fil. 6,3V

JR6-2570

BIAS = 100

Range: A

SHUNT= 100

Press. 3

BIAS Control: controls Eye :   open>> close.

Ich denke das gilt auch fuer das 752A

Danke soviel. Die Hickok fremden Schlaucharten Ergänzungstestdaten gibt keine Informationen an allen für das EM71.

Mit Ihren Informationen benutzte ich die folgenden Einstellungen:

HEIZFADEN: 6.3V

ELEMENT-VORWAHL: 8160-2570

VORSPANNUNG: 100

SHUNT: 100

MULT: x1

PRESSE: S5 Umdrehung des schrägen

Schalters zeigt Muster an, wie im Magische Augen gezeigt:

NB: Tube appears not as NEW, but responds well to bias changes and phosphor is not so bad!! I agree also that the Hickok 752A testers are quite expensive, but tests the dual-tubes quickly when time meant money for the repair man - 10 years ago I paid only $40.00 for tester and 700 tubes. . . . . .
