graetz: 817; Musica
Hello,
In my collection I've one Graetz Musica 817.
It is in good conditions. Needs some adjustments tough it sounds good.
Unfortunately the grille cloth has not good shape and needs replacement.
I need some help about it.
Also I would like to know the opinion of one expertise about the correct movement of one iron core inside of one coil which moves together and is synchronised with its tuning condenser.
Thanks in advance
Mário Coelho

Dear Hans,
Thank you for your answer,
It could help if you send me one photo from the RF block where the tuning coil is. Synchronism between coil iron core and condenser is made by a cord. I'm not sure this cord is correctly turned over de condenser drum. May be clock wise or anti clock wise.
Best regards

The Drum and the Cord
Dear Mario
I added a sketch. Here you can see how the coil is moved when turning the knob counter-clockwise. The arrows show the movement when tuning from 88Mhz to 100MHz, the Indicator moves to the left. The cord comes from top of the drum and vanishes into the upper whole, from the lower whole the cord is wound up at the backside of the drum ( seen from the backside of the radio ). The steel coil is wound up by the axis now, pulling the cylinder into the coil case.
Hope that helps
Cheers
