Happy New Year 2008
Happy New Year 2008
Dear English speaking members
Sorry, I can not answer individually to most of the electronic greeting cards I received. Since we now have more than 4400 members in 70 countries my task is not easier ;-)
I therefore did send you an eMail which is going to all English speaking members who show a valid eMail address in their profile which also allows receiving eMails from AT radiomuseum without regarding them as SPAM ...
Anyway:
I do wish all of you and your family the best of health, happiness and good fortune.
If you like to answer my eMail (or my thoughts here) please do use this thread. Thank you.
PS:
There are now 1123 members having chosen English as their language. I hope that this will also reflect in a positive way in the forum - which is focused to quality articles and not regarded as a "chat-forum". It is a pity that we have many good articles in German which nobody translates ... We miss repair articles written in English (started on the model page). My own wish for 2008 is that this will change by having more and more active English speaking members caring for RMorg.

my best greetings to this wonderful community. Today RMorg makes possible the sharing of an unbelievable quantity of knowledge, experiences and data referring to a science now disappeared. Many, many thanks to all the contributors and mainly to its founder, who made this possible.
My wish is to see in the nest future more and more contributions in English language. I would propose working teams for each different language, so to have descriptions and articles written in both mother and English language. It could be the right way to easily transmit the experience of elder members to young enthusiast people worldwide.
Sincerely yours

All the Best for 2008!

Dear Radiomuseum friends,
It is a pleasure to belong to an organization like Radiomuseum, through which people from all over the world can share their enthusiasm for antique radios and help one another with repair tips, interesting historical information, etc.
Although I'm normally living in California, right now I'm in Wisconsin visiting family, and we have a wonderfully white Christmas here this year -- the most snow we've had in quite a few years. We have more than a foot (that's about 30 cm for all of you who use "modern" units) of standing snow right now (with a little more falling each day). Our kids have had a great time sledding on a nearby hill.
I wish all of you the best of success in 2008, and it would be great to see the participation in RMorg continue to grow -- especially among English speakers.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Tom

Happy New Year...Prosit Neujahr...Bonne Année...Prospero Año...Godt Nytår...no matter how you say it, all the best in 2008 for all the RM community! And let all of us 'Liebhaber' (enthusiasts) continue to help Herr Erb and his colleagues with their great work in whatever ways we can.
Best wishes to all,
Todd
