Hello all, I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving! I am working on Howard SG-F same as SG-A. I received radio in cabinete, plugged in and it worked loud and clear. I have wood work to do so took  out chassis, and alas...It does not work. All tubes light normally, all voltages normal, all tubes check good, output and field transformer check good. All wired connections intact. All I get is very, very low hum when ear to speaker. All caps have been changed. Any suggestions?  Thanks  AL

Problem fixed! The #24 tube next to 27, had a shorted grid cap wire to chassis. It was difficult to see going into bottom of coil can. I hope this helps another radio tech some day!   thanks  AL

Dear Alfred,

thank you for your information and congratulations on repair. However, it would be very nice if we could also see the old radio which you recently maintained. Would you be so kind and upload some photos ? I think it would be very interesting for us not only because of its age. Thank you for understanding.

Best regards
Rolf

Dear Alfred
Pictures as attachment in a post are not the same as pictures directly visible on the model page.
Rolf refers to those directly visible on the model page.

I see that  you have already loaded up such pictures to other models like the Crosley 63TA (there were some before but that does not matter) and 2445 Music Box from Zaney-Gill Corp. with pictures from Robin Roeckers. But this model here has no pictures at all and therefore I beg you to load some up. This will enlarge also your collection page which contains now the two mentioned models only.

When I type your name into Google search then you come first - but with the model page SABA 300 Automatic Stereo 11 because you wrote a question about the automatic station finder which is correctly posted from the model page. Your collection page is too small and your personal text (you reach it in the profile) too short to come first. Type for instance Konrad Birkner or Robin Roeckers and you know the difference.

Thank you very much for uploading which is very essential for other collectors (guests and members) who then can find out the correct name of their set etc.
