he guyssorry for my grammar

i recently found this tv

and the pictiure tube was brolen and the cabinet is drenched in tar and beewax

so my mission make a log of me repairing it

so at firsth i had to w8 a week becaus i was in Czecho when i got it

and when i got home i started disasembeling

backside is warped so it sits under a radio until it is strait

 

demounted the top chasi and removed the pictiure tube

 bothem chasie is stil mounted

and evrything looks great at the bothem

so no i need to find a tube and clean the outside

 

i will update this topic as much as i can

tips are helpful so if sombody can deciver rusian i would be happy

i bought a grundig 336 and took the tube (MW43-64)

this should be the right tube

but when i tested it nothing

and whan i looked at the voltages i noticed the 0.5A fuse had blown

 

putted a peace of aluminium in it to test

the rectivier tube started sparking

but it worked (tube is now broken)

 

so now i need to buy a 5z4

 

all looked nice didnt got pictures tube lasted not long enough

 

now i need to rotate the coils  (picture was sloped)

and adjust all the pots

well i forgot to update you guys

so here it comes

 

the 5z4 wassent broken but my block of aluminum stoped conducting

so i switched it to a real fuse and it worked again

 

my rf converter at that time did not work so i could not tune it (or get it to work)

i got a tip from somone for a conferter with a barberic control

 

so i got sound on chanal 1-2 i have sound (sound tuned to the russian set and the set daild into europ chanal 1)

no picture

 

so i went asking around and found nothing

and one evening i started turning on the vertical sync

ping picture

and after 1 week the switch on the tuner got stuck

so you can turn the picture tube of for record players

 

and that was the last i did that time

 

after almost a year i took it out of my storage (almost broke my back with it)

to fix a switch on the tuner

 

but i disasembled it good

and went to work with some restore a finish

restored the switch

putted it together

 

it looks almost new now

and afster that i finished adusting the focus magnets from the new picture tube

 

placed the back panel back and only the bottem panel is left to do

 

some pictures wil come soon becaus it is kind of epic now
