multimeter

I'm planning on purchasing a siginal generator to align my sets and i'm aware that I need a multimeter to do so. Can someone lease let me know which multimeter is the best quality for a medium to low cost. I also need to know what setting i would use to align radios.

 Many can be aligned with an analog meter - Simpson 260 or the like.

 It's often easier to "peak" with an analog meter than with a digital one.
