schaub: 70 Universal; Touring - Carrying Handle Removal

Hello:

How do I remove the carrying handle from my Schaub Lorenz T70 Universal?

Also, will the carrying handle from this radio also fit on a T80 Universal?

Hi, Michael, As far as i remember, the Handle is mounted from the inside of the Cover. You will need to remove the knobs for Volume and Station, and 4 Screws on the underside of the Radio. The Screws are apx 5cm from either Side of the Radio, two are close to the Front Grill, the other two are close to the back. Then You schould be able to lift the Cover off the Chassis. You may need to hold the Chassis down by the axes of the knobs, while lifting the Cover with the Hanle. Hope this helps, Best regards, Henning

the question is long time ago but I like to answer because of two remarks.

1. The handles are the same from Touring 70 and 80

2. It is not necessary to remove the cover. You need only to pull carefully in the direction away from the Radio.
