• Classic mid 1960s portable handheld AM transistor radio housed in a black plastic enclosure with metal speaker grill with rotary tuner and rotary on/off switch and at the top a small socket for an earphone.

  The six transistor types used in the radio changed during the production run. Initially the output pair were AS128 and AS313. Only five of the transistors were for amplification, the sixth being an AS148 with the emitter clipped used as an AGC diode. The late B66Z version had a slightly different audio output design, dropping one electrolytic and adding an extra compensating diode.

  This model was still on sale in 1972.
