    The receiver covered the broadcast band (550 to 1540 kHz) and the normal Teleradio range from 2 to 9MHz with 3 ranges.

    The transmitter was crystal controlled and had up to four frequency channels in the 2 to 9MHz range with an RF output of around 14 Watts.

    This model, 5A used a vibrator power supply running from 12 volts.
    Semiconductor diodes were used in two bridge rectifiers in vibrator power supply.

    There was a 240 Volt AC version available designated model 5C.
