• The AMRAD 3475 Broadcast Tuner was used on the 35 series of AMRAD Receivers, the AMRAD 3500 and the AMRAD 3500-1. The 3475 used in the 3500 had a fixed RF Transformer and the 3475 used in the 3500-1 used a plug-in AMRAD 3287 Radiformer RF Transformer. The 3287 Radiformer was specifically designed for wavelengths under 600 meters. If the user wanted to receive longer wavelengths the 3287 Radiformer could be swapped for a 3289 Radiformer. When this change was made AMRAD Load coils 7962 and 2626 may be inserted between terminals marked "Ant. Load" and "Grid Load"respectively, which are ordinarily shunted by jumpers. Use of the Load Coils in this manner permits the reception of Naval and commercial telegraph stations operating on wavelengths up to 3000 meters.
