Double Conversion on AM. The high (3MHz) 1st IF allows LW & MW on one band.
Varicap tuning. Unusually the upper mechanical meter is the varicap tuning voltage, not AGC or FM tuning AFC. The lower meter has a button to select signal level or AFC error (centre zero is perfect tuning).
Six preset stations (preset by small multiturn potentiometers), 3 for AM and 3 for FM.
Stereo Multiplex decoder for VHF-FM (87.5 .. 108 MHz)
The rear 5 pin DIN connector has a choice of two levels:
- Left hand channel output, high level
- Ground (earth) connection
- Left hand channel output, low level
- Right hand channel output, high level
- Right hand channel output, low level
(note 1 & 3 are outer pins and 2 is middle with 4 & 5 on either side)
