  • The models 517 and 527 share the same chassis - with suffix "B" they are battery sets with an other chassis but the same cabinet than the same without "B". The early version Arvin model 517 Rhythm Junior is without the three vertical bars on front of the loudspeaker. The Arvin model 517 Rhythm Junior with 6 3/16 inch dial covers 545 - 171 meters (550 - 1750 kc = incl 1600 to 1700 police bands) and 16.65 - 52.6 meters (5.7 - 18 mc). One electro dynamic speaker 6 inch. 2-gang condenser, 2-point tone control. Cabinet in rich-grained walnut in combinations with pencil-striped mahogany and satin wood.

    Rider's shows that the chassis has been published 1936 (or before) but this form is not on the catalog 1937 of The Belknap Hardware & Manufacturing Co. but the new version.
