Dear Administrators!

I have just had one of these transistor radios in for repair for Ringsted Radiomuseum. Your diagrams, pictures and other information match our records, except for the model number. According to the information we have, this is a model 606 K. It is the first ever transistor radio made by B&O in 1959 for the 1960 marked.

We have even contacted a former B&O engineer from the period. Here is the response we received from him (translated into English)

"I have to correct myself.
The Beolit ​​606 K was launched in 1959 and the name 606 says that it is a 1960 model.  That 562 is self-invented.
In 1960, the 1961 Beolit ​​607 model was launched with an anodized aluminum front and handle. Later, we ourselves developed a new process for surface treatment of aluminum. It was called anodizing because "eloxering" was patent protected.
Hope the clouds of confusion are blown away.¤
