  • The Belmont 585 is an AC operated 5 tube BC and SW band receiver. This model was available with 4 different chassis as described below and was also sold under various brand names such as Airline and Truetone (possibly others).

    Here are the major differences between the chassis types:

    Note: Series "B" and "C" chassis are serially numbered on back flange of chassis, with series B beginning with number "5A100510B" and up, series "C" chassis beginning with number "5B105635C".  Series "B" and "C" may be identified by the letter "B" or "C" at the end of the serial number.
