Hello To All. Ater downloading and printing the schematics for the models Verdi And Metropolitan, and comparing them with my radio, my observations are: The IF and AF sections of Ben-Gal Verdi, are identical to the Metropolitan schematics. the major difference is that the Metropolitan uses rotateble mode selector, and the Verdi uses "Piano Keys", and that the Verdi uses the EM84 and not the EM80. At the bottom there are coils and capacitors for alligening the dial, the dial plate shoes two markers for each band (LW, MW, SW2, SW1) for the allingement. correct tube lineup is: EZ80, ECH81, EBF80, EBF80, EL84, EM84. the connections at the back are (from left to right): External Antenna (with ground), Tape Recorder (marked as T.R), Phono (marked as P.U (Pick-Up)), External Speaker (marked as EXT. L.S). The speaker in my radio is original. the schematic is very similar to A Socora model from around 1957 or earlier.

Hi everyone! my radio has an EBF80 instead of the ECC83 (the one before the EL84), does it make sense? I just downloaded the schematics so I will try to figure out if the radio has been rewired for that. it works perfectly, but according to schematics it's the wrong tube(?). beside that, mine has different RF coils than the ones in the picture, they are much smaller, rechtangular with the two adjustments on top. I hope I can upload some pics tomorrow.
