  • Bemerkung
  • In the early version of the BSR Monarch UA6 autochanger, the main plate was a die-casting which included the two upright columns (for the pickup arm pivot and the rest, as well as the column for the control arm). Later versions featured a pressed steel main plate with smaller die-cast columns attached to it.

A distinguishing feature of the UA6 and its predecessor (the UA5) is the over-arm (record balance arm), which features a hole at its tip through which the tall center spindle passes to stabilize stacked records.

It is a 3-speed (33⅓, 45, and 78rpm)  automatic record changer with a 10-record capacity, capable of intermixing 7-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch records in any order. Controls include a combined 3-speed selector and an ON / OFF / Reject switch ("Rotocam" control).

The tonearm is fitted with a standard or turnover pickup cartridge (with dual styli for standard 78 RPM shellac and microgroove vinyl records).
