  • Stroboscope for measuring the rotation speed or revolution velocity and frequency of rotating power plant equipment. 

    The display at one end has a metal bar with a white tip that vibrates at twice mains frequency and can be used to compare to the reading on the frequency dial. 

    The knob at the end turns approximately 5 times for the slightly less than 1 turn of the dial.

    The unit also has what appears to be a tripod mount bottom centre.
