PORTABLE RADIO EQUIPMENT
Type CS-11 and CS-11A
The CS11 and CS11A portable station combines both transmitter and receiver for voice and code. Complete with batteries, antenna, key and carrying case it weighs only 20 pounds.
Even greater battery life has been achieved with this new model of the portable unit which has established an enviable reputation for performance with foresters, surveyors, lumber operators and prospectors. The same rugged construction, simplicity of operation and light
weight that were characteristic of the type PF1 have been retained but the circuits have been revised to make use of the latest type low drain tubes with the result that battery life is increased fifty percent.A new type heavy duty battery box is now available. This provides a convenient means for carrying a set of large batteries for semi permanent installations or for long trips.
FREQUENCY RANGE;
The basic difference between these two models is the frequency range. The CS11 goes from 1.5m.c. to 3 m.c. The CS11A goes from 3 m.c. to 6 m.c.TRANSMITTER
Single channel, crystal controlled, telegraph and telephone transmitter having a power output of 2.7 watts. Class B modulation is employed and the microphone is permanently mounted in the lid.RECEIVER

For semi permanent installations, a half wave dipole antenna, cut to specified frequency, with single wire feeder, is supplied with rhe heavy duty battery box. This type requires two poles for erection but will give greater range. Insulators and 75 feet of hoisting cord are included.BATTERIES
