The General Electric C-100 is an AC/DC operated 5 tube BC band receiver. The BC band frequency tuning range is 540 - 1600kHz. Has built-in loop antenna with provisions for connecting an external antenna. The models with these serial numbers have a record player input jack.
The following models use the same schematic and chassis but have different cabinets:
Model Cabinet C-100 Brown Plastic C-101 Ivory Plastic C-103 Mahogany Wood C-105 Maple Wood Note: The following changes were made on models having serial numbers of R98680 to R104679 (Per GE Service Manual):
a) Eliminated R1 470 Ohm resistor in antenna circuit and uses tapped loop antenna.
b) R2 10Megohm resistor eliminated.
c) C6 eliminated from oscillator circuit and a new oscillator coil is used.
d) A phono input jack has been added and a shorting bar added to the rotor of the oscillator section of the tuning capacitor that shorts the oscillator when the record player is used.
