  • See also at Rider's where you find a "model 10" and a "model 12C" instead of a model "10-12C" as given in this Lafayette catalog 1932. We show both entries to be complete in any case and to describe the problem. The Automatic Record Changer model 10-12 was featured on page 2 in "Presto-Times" February 1931 - with sizes 14.25 x 14.25 x 7.125".

The inexpensive and simple drop-type changer "10-12" was introduced by Capehart in 1931. Baumbach page 17 shows 4 different model cabinets as samples for this drop-type record changer: Model 15, a 7 tube TRF for $ 225, model 15S as 8-tube Superhet for $ 235, both with the same console cabinet of Walnut and Lacewood veneers. Model 1000 for $ 122.50 (plays through radio), Walnut and Lacewood veneers, cabinet 24" x 28" x 17.5" (WHD), no receiver, only changer in cabinet. Coin operated Model Junior 5 (sometimes simply called model 5) or without coin operation but otherwise the same is model 6. At last model 20 with the 7 tube TRF for $ 262.50 or model 20S with the 8-tube Superhet in the same cabinet for $ 272.50, Walnut and Maple veneers, size 24" x 28" x 17.5 (WHD).

About different changers of different types and brands see this interesting outbound link. Here is a video from Robert Baumbach for a turn-over changer.
