This model page is for collecting uncertain or unknown pictures or facts for a given season. Can also contain the different pictures for the different models from sets of this season.
For season B, 1933/34 there were at least the following general models offered:
    400B, 402B, 404B, 300B and 1600B plain cabinet for a conceiled installation.
Cabinet: Known details for 1600B are found here.
The Cabinet 1600B is plain for a conceiled installation. Two speed changer 16-E-2, remote Aladdin possible, often with remote loudspeakers and/or remote control.
The series 1600 cabinet began with 1600B, season 1933/34 and it was followed until season "G" for 1938/39, then for $ 905. The record changer only as 160 cabinet was only possible for E (1936/37) and F (1937/38).
    Chassis Series 400-B:
    See Rider's volume 5-2 for the 8-tube tuner chassis W-836 for Capehart 400B, 402B, 404B and the first 1600 Plain Cabinet Concealed, with 58 RF, 58 osc, 2A7 mixer, 2 x 58 IF, 55 and 2 x 57 and tuning meter. The all wave tuner chassis W-839 with 58, 2A7, 2 x 58, 56, 55, and 2 x 57 and tuning meter, also 8 tubes is found on Rider's 5-3. And see the amplifier chassis W-837 with the 9 tubes 3 x 56, 4 x 2A5 and 2 x 5Z3 Rider's 5-4. Careful not to confuse it with Rider's page 1-1 to 1-4 for models 400, 401 and 402, one chassis with 13 tubes.
See the other model pages under their model type name.
For an overview about the cabinets during the different seasons see this article.
The Capehart model 400 series were introduced for season 1931/32 without suffix, followed by A 1932/33, B 1933/34 etc. through to 1948/49. See here the "Common information for the Capehart model pages for the 1930s and 1940s". We show also a model page for the 400 series, either to collect photos of unknown detail and/or to show the different cabinets in comparison.
