    The Capehart model series 400 with Adam cabinet were made in two cabinet versions: The first models were called Adam 402 for 1931/32, followed by 402A (1932/33), 402B (1933/34) and Adam 402C for 1934/35.
    Model Adam 406 followed as Adam 406D in 1935/36, 406E, 406F, 406G, 406H, 406K-AM and 406K-FM, 406M and Adam 406N for 1946-1948 with the post war changer 41-E instead of 16-E.

    The second chassis Series 400 has a tuning meter and uses the schematic W-820 with the following tubes: 58 RF, 56 osc, 58 mixer, 2 x 58 IF, 55 det,  57, 56 1st amp, 4 x 47 parallel + pushpull, 2 x 80. The 4 AF output tubes are in parallel push-pull for a maximum of 3 speakers of 6 ohms.
