- Remarques
- In 1943, Hakusan Musen merged with Takizawa Musen.
The new company name was Teikoku Denpa. Their new brand name was "Clarion".
This TRF set was the first model of Clarion radio approved in 1946.
The design was modernized but this model equaled Housoukyoku-gata No.123.
Housoukyoku-gata type No.123 receiver changed into "Kokumin-gata" No.1 receiver in 1946.
This set had both names, Housoukyku-gata No.123 and Kokumin-gata No.1.
However, the quality of power line was very poor. Voltage was not stabilized.
Such transformer-less receivers have a lack of sensitivity at low voltage. There were often caused failures due to high voltage. eliability was lower than for conventional radio sets with power transformer.
The price of tubes for transformer-less receivers was expensive and production was limited.
13 models of Kokumin-gata No.1 receiver were produced. However these radios did not prevail.
