  • Collins 45A Transmitter: can be tuned in the range of 1,5 - 30 MHz included 160 - 20 m ham bands, rapid frequency change using plug-in frequency change assemblies, CW (A1) 120 W, AM (A3) 40 W.
    Tubes used are Collins C-100 for the early models and by 1937 replaced by 6L6 as oscillator tube. To keep the date 1935 we use here "unknown_Tube".

    Tube 46 is the 1st doubler, RK-23 used as R-F amp, C830B as 2nd doubler and C-211D (later replaced by 211H) as final, in the speech amplifier two 57 and a 2A3 as power amplifier and in the power supply two 83-V for standard 350V B+ and two 866 mercury rectifiers for 1200 B+ for the final stage.
    One of the first high power grid modulated desktop transmitters used by Radio Amateurs and for commercial and police purposes.
