• Seven valve Portable, battery operated, spring driven motor, tape recorder designed for use by radio reporters and according to the advertising of the time these units were used to record the events at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games.

  Battery types used: (A) 1½V Eveready 742  and  (B) two by 67½V Eveready 467.

  An example of this recorder is held in the collection of the Sound Preservation Association of Tasmania.
