  Alimentazione tramite gruppo motore/dinamo. Sullo schema da Radioindustria e Guida Pratica AR IV viene mostrato un soprammobile di legno, mentre lo schema proveniente da Schemi di apparecchi radio, Ravalico definisce il modello "ricevitore da automobile".

  La corrente di eccitazione della bobina di campo è ottenuta ponendo la medesima in serie ai filamenti. Il funzionamento alle diverse tensioni si ottiene con modifiche circuitali.

  La EL2 è utilizzata nel funzionamento a 24 e 48 V, in sostituzione di 6V6. Queste due valvole non sono intercambiabili.
