  • Modell: Double Beam Oscillograph 1035 - Cossor, A.C.; London
  • Form
  • Schweres Gerät für Militär oder Industrie (Boatanchor > 20 kg).
  • Bemerkung
  • The Cossor model 1035 is a sophisticated double-beam cathode ray oscillograph with several notable features:

    Cathode Ray Tube
The oscillograph employs a unique split-beam cathode ray tube (CRT) developed by Cossor.

This technology uses a beam splitter in contact with the final anode, allowing for two independent traces on a single screen. The split-beam design offers superior beam definition compared to many other CRTs of the time.

    Amplifiers
The instrument features two independent amplifiers:

    A1 Channel:

    • Frequency response: 5 Hz to 5 MHz
    • Maximum sensitivity: 10 mV/cm

    A2 Channel:

    • Frequency response: 5 Hz to 250 kHz
    • Maximum sensitivity: 1 V/cm

The amplifiers provide a 7-range directly calibrated voltage scale with an accuracy of ±10%. The frequency response characteristics are as follows:

    • 50% drop at 7 MHz for an amplification of 3 times
    • 50% drop at 60 kHz for an amplification of 3,000 times

    Time Base
The time base system offers versatile sweep options:

    • Duration range: 15 μs to 150 ms
    • Modes: Repetitive, triggered, or single stroke
    • 9 time ranges from 100 ms to 10 μs
    • X expansion is available, allowing a maximum spot velocity of 250 ns/cm

    Synchronisation
The oscillograph provides a switch selection for synchronizing from either a positive or negative input, enhancing its flexibility for various signal types.

    Additional Features

    • Y deflection plates are available for direct connection via slide doors in the oscillograph cabinet.
    • The cathode operates at -2 kV, with first and final anodes at ground potential.
    • A Post Deflection Acceleration (PDA) anode is included, typically run at +350 V with the option to increase to 2 kV for extra brightness

    Later models: 1035 Mk2  (1950) & 1035 Mk3 (1952)
