  • The Crosley schematic is for chassis 579, 5579 and 6579 1939/40 battery radios.
    The folder for battery radios 1939/40 shows the models B429A, B449A, B459A, B579A, B589A, B6579D and the console models B5579M and B5589M (but without the 439).
    The Crosley model 5579 was also sold (out) by Lafayette under the model number B-5579-M - for only $ 16.25. This is a bit less than a third of the original price. It is in the same cabinet like the model B-5589-M, but the latter has an additional short wave band. Both feature a walnut veneer cabinet and 5 push-buttons for selecting a preset station. The loudspeaker is housed in a "Curviflector" acoustic chamber.
