The Precision Equipment Company 1922 ACE TRU Concert Receptor. This Precision Equipment ACE radio had nothing to do with the Crosley Radio Company. This radio was being manufactured by Precision Equipment when Powell Crosley bought the company. Existing stock was liquidated through early 1923 Crosley catalogs along side the Crosley ACE Model V.
The label ACE was used by Crosley only from 1923 on, after Precision Instrument Equipment was acquired by Crosley to get the Armstrong license. ACE was the trademark owned and used by The Precision Equipment Co. previous to their being purchased by Powell Crosley to acquire their Armstrong license. Crosley continued the use of the ACE name placing it on the regenerative versions of their radios such as the ACE V was the regenerative version of the Crosley V.
