- Remarques
- The Rider's schematic Crosley 2-1 shares the same schematic for the converters model 7 and model 7-1. The model 7 is a set for attaching to any broadcast receiver in order to adapt the latter to the reception of short-wave signals. The incoming signal is being converted to a frequency within the regular broadcast range by the use of an oscillator and detector. After conversion to the appropriate frequency the signal is delivered to the aerial and ground terminals of the broadcast receiver. The first stage is an untuned buffer amplifier UY224, followed by the tuned oscillator UY227 and the tuned detector UY224. The model 7-1 is similar but with one tube less and a tuned antenna circuit. It has a UY224 as first detector, a UY227 oscillator and a UX280 rectifier. Rider's Crosley 2-2 shows details about the model 7-1 voltage and shows the details for the model 7-2 converter. The "Converter 7-2" is a short wave adapter without a power pack. It obtains its power from the croadcast receiver. Instead of plug-in frequency change coils, it is equipped with a coil changing switch. There are five switch positions, four of which are for short-wave reception, and the fifth for operating the ordinary broadcast receiver. It has a YU227 oscillator and a UY224 detector only. It operates with a set with a pentode output tube which will be used with an adapter for the power cable plug.
