- One dial (primary tuning control knob). All of the Harko Senior receivers, regenerative or non-regenerative, covered the 150 to over 600 meters wave length range. Often later dated to 1923 by some radio guides, but production started in 1922 for this receiver and continued into 1923.
By September of 1922 the Crosley Harko Senior was being referred to in their advertising as the Harko Senior No. V. Shortly thereafter variations in the model were being offered at different prices. Options included Regenerative or Non-Regenerative, two different cabinets and engraved or stamped front panel.
Technically this model would be called the Harko Senior Model V-C with new style Adam brown mahogany cabinet, Regenerative, panel engraved, and sold for $20 USD in the winter of 1922. This receiver was manufactured for Crosley Manufacturing Co. by the Tri-City Electric Supply Co. as Crosley lacked the Armstrong license to build regenerative receivers. This Model V-C was also sold without regeneration for $16 USD as the Harko Senior V-C Non-Regenerative The V-C was the "top of the line" receiver of the Harko Senior family. Compared to the cheaper Harko Senior V-B the $3 more charged for the engraved front panel few of this model were sold.
