- Bemerkung
- The first Harko Senior is most probably the one with only a 3 step switch and overhanging lid. See the ad February 1922 in "Radio News", page 725. We don't know if this was only offered or also has been sold. In other literature, the Harko Senior is often dated to 1923, but 1922 is evident. See the different Harko Seniors for 1923. We even think that it was soon outdated. The advertisement proves the price of 16 $ in February 1922. Already in the first catalog - we guess from about April 1922 we find a 5-step switch plus a stamp for an "improved one for 20 $. Ths has then a 7-step switch and that switch was never changed from then on.
The sets were then always offered without tube(s). The ad reads: Complete tuner and audion detector assembled on a formica or other high grade dielectric panel, mounted complete in mahogany finish cabinet. Range, 150 to 600 meters, non-regenerative hoock-up. Price without battery, tube or phones ... See here more details about the whole family of Harko Senior's.
