The Cussins and Fearn "Fearnola" is the typical battery operated 6 tube TRF set of the mid 1920s. Strong evidence (nameplate, simple wire fiducials, and likely Ohio manufacture) suggest it was made by the Guthrie Company of Grafton, Ohio. The front panel and chassis are made of bent sheet steel on two wood blocks. The bottom was made of pressboard, a thicker piece for the completely covered chassis and a thinner piece for the cabinet base. A review and restoration article with some Cussins and Fearn history can be found in the November 2022 issue of "The Spectrum Monitor". Connections to speaker, headphones, ground and short or long antennas are by way of a screw terminal cluster inside the set to the left of the tubes.
