  • Notes
  • In at least some examples, this set is marked as being a Setchell-Carlson model 416 (model plate is riveted to the chassis). However, the tube lineup and schematics are not an exact match. Versions using miniature tubes (Noval 7 pin) more closely resemble the Setchell-Carlson model 408 but incorporate an added 12BA6 in the front end, an RF coil, and different oscillator coil with wiring differences. Comparison against the schematics for those models also shows different component values but all share many basic circuit design elements.

The coin timer used on this model is a Haydon Mfg. Co. E15450 1-hour timer: 115VAC 60Hz 1/60 RPM. The timer is wired to permit 1 hour of continuous or intermittent use per 10 cents (US) deposited.
