An Audio/Video Surround Sound amplifier with a digital display and remote control (RC-178), with Dolby Pro-Logic noise reduction system. Output power 30 watts into 8 ohm Centre loudspeaker, 2 x 15 watts into 8 ohm Rear Loudspeakers. A/V Input sockets for VDP-1, VDP-2, Line and VCR, A/V output sockets for a VCR, a Video output socket for connection to a TV monitor and Line out Audio sockets for conection to a stereo amplifier.  Terminals for 1 Centre loudspeaker and 2 Rear loudspeakers. Surround mode buttons for Bypass (for Stereo output only), Surround Pro-Logic Mode (for Dolby Pro-Logic recordings), Hall Mode (to create the atmosphere of a hall),  Simulated Mode (to simulate a mono source) and Live Mode (to create the atmosphere of a live program in a studio). Master volume control, Output Balance control for rear loudspeakers, Rear speakers volume control buttons, Centre speaker volume control buttons and a Delay selector button (to set a delay time).
