  • At least 90V HT (possibly 3 x 45V for 135V), 9V Grid Bias and LT uses 2V Lead Acid Accumulator.

    Valve line up from Mullard (1935)  and Marconi (1931) guides. Also known as Detex 5 and Detex portable 5.

    Rexine style covered plywood case, in at least two different colours (cyan or marbled wine).

    Dimensions include metal dome feet, handle, catches etc.

    Maker and Model is impressed/stamped (without ink) on floor of battery compartment and hardly visible without a pencil rubbing on paper.

    A low-priced suitcase portable of conventional design, in a case covered with fabric-blue, red, green Morocco, or imitation lizard, to choice.

    Fitted with 100 volt HT battery and 20 AHhour accumulator.
