- The J.J. Duck Ferron Detector was manufactured for Duck by the Clapp-Eastham Company. The Ferron Detector was quite popular in the teens. Sensitivity was claimed to be slightly better than any other crystal detector and the "Ferron" crystal was not injuriously affected by the strongest signals.
