  • DuMont "Inputuner" 101 (102);
    Optional offered combined continous tuning TV-VHF & FM tuner as well as standard used in a couple of the DuMont "Teleset" families and others.
    For manual or motor drive, have a continuous tuning Mallory-Ware Inductuner using a triple roller inductor which covers the VHF low, FM, and VHF high bands in one band from 44-216 MHz.
    72 ohms unbalanced low input impedance, three tunable circuits, two of them for bandpass and one for the oscillator.
    Offered as drift-free. Sold in two versions - motor driven with tubes and dial (Type 102) and manual tuning only (Type 101).
    Compare this concept with the more common type of turret TV tuner.

    Literature: "Inductive Tuning System for FM-Television Receivers" by DuMont employee Mr. Paul Ware as mentioned at joint meeting of the "The Institute of Radio Engineers and "The Radio Club of America" in New York on March 28, 1946.
