  • Anotaciones
  • VHF Converter, converts a VHF Frequency into the AM/MW Broadcast Band, several Xtals and VHF Frequencies known.

Principal: This converter has two transistors which by working together input a Very High Frequency radio signal, then transforms that signal to a lower frequency to be received and heard by a more common, inexpensive radio.

    Notes:
The converter uses one transistor to function as a crystal controlled oscillator. The second transistor mixes the desired input signal with the crystal oscillator signal using input and output coils tuned to the desired frequencies. This is commonly defined as the Super-Hetrodyne process. The manufacturer of this device used different component values to allow the converter to receive VHF Low band, Aircraft band, or VHF High band frequencies. These converters output signals for a standard U.S. AM BCB receiver. FM modulated signals can be detected in an AM receiver by proper tuning of the AM receiver.
