  • Dominion Electrohome Industries Ltd. in Kitchener, Ontario presented in May 1948 a family of radios with the code PMU51. With the same chassis with the mixer 12BE6, IF 12BA6, Det./AF Amp 12AT6, Power Amp. 50B5 and Rexct. 35W4 one could choose the MusicBox in 6 versions or the PictuRadio in 4 versions:
    MusicBox: PMU51-418 in Walnut, PMU51-428 in in Mahogany, PMU51-438 in Autumn Leaf Mahogany, PMU51-448 in Hura Wood, PMU51-458 in Black Lacquer and PMU51-468 in Chinese Red. To switch on the set one has only to open the lid.
    Picturadio (Chassis PU2-4518 without tone control), cabinet 9 5/8 x 7 3/4 x 5 1/4 inch: PMU51-478 in Walnut, PMU51-488 in Mahogany, PMU51-498 in Autumn Leaf Mahogany and PMU51-4108 in Ivory.
    The control lamp (#47) is in parallel with one part of the rectifier. These simple AC/DC superhets but with 6 circuits7receive the broadcast band for 540 to 1600 kHz. See also the article of member Eric Bélanger in Radiophile Québec, vol. 14, July 2008 nr. 3, page 8-12. The season before there was also a code 103A PMU51 and 104A PMU51 (each as -417, -427, -437 and -447) but with an other chassis, tubes and cabinet.
